Richard’s 32nd place at last weekend’s ITU race in New Plymouth certainly didn’t reflect the shape he’s currently in after some successful warm weather training.

A strong start and the fastest swim time was undone by equipment failure on the bike that ultimately led to a crash.   Fortunately he was unhurt and still finished with a faster run than last year.

Richard’s next race will be in South Africa in a couple of weeks
